ETMM will decorate a tree in Founders Park in Johnson City Nov 26th starting around 11:30am and will probably end up in a local establishment to warm up and maybe get appetizers. If you are interested in making ornaments for the tree there are some rules which are outlined below:

– The trees are pre-lit and we are not allowed to add any lights
– No ornaments can be made of glass or be breakable
– Must be family friendly ornaments with no derogatory language
– Ornaments should be well made and water resistant as they will be outdoors for over a month
– We must use strong “ties” to hang the ornaments like zip-tie. normal ornament hangers are not strong enough. we will need small zip-ties or wire.
– Items must be attached to the tree, cannot place items under the tree.
– No candles or flammables
– No painting or flocking of the trees are allowed

We must decorate the tree between November 25-30 and we have to be completed by 5:00PM on the 30th in time for the lighting ceremony at 6:30 that evening. We will need to take the ornaments down by January 7 or we will not be allowed to participate in future events.
