The cost of membership is affordable for individuals as well as families. ETMM is a member of the Crescent Ski Council, which is comprised of clubs from Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia and West Virginia.
To join, please mail the completed Membership Form and dues to the mailing address at the bottom right-hand corner of the site... or better yet, bring it to our monthly club meeting. Please contact Beth with any Membership-related inquiries.
The club meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 7PM, alternating between Logan's Roadhouse in Johnson City (odd months) and Rush Street Restaurant in Kingsport (even months).
Several club members also meet on the Third Thursday of the month at 6PM at area restaurants and bars for a club Happy Hour.
Club Members have a variety of interests outside of snow sports, resulting in year-round club activities. Members participate in golf tournaments, beach trips, Caribbean adventures, whitewater rafting. They attend musical and various local festivals together, and in the summer enjoy time on area lakes.
ETMM is a non-profit organization. We support our community through several outreach activities each year.
Captain for a Dayby
Each year ETMM sponsors the Captain for a Day event. This outing is for the residents of the Dawn of Hope, which is a day residence for mentally and physically handicapped adults. We take 25 of their residents and counselors to Boone Lake for a boat ride and picnic.
On the day of the event, we meet at Sonny’s Marina in the morning, assist the residents in boarding the boats and then leave for a morning cruise, where residents get a chance to captain a pontoon boat. For lunch, we dock at a couple of club members' docks. Following lunch, gift bags are presented to the residents as they head back to Dawn of Hope.
Club members participate by donating boats, assisting the Captains, serving lunch and providing items for gift bags. This is a fun and rewarding event for all involved.
Clothing and Food Driveby
In November and December the club collects gently used clothes and food. Donations are made to Good Samaritan and Second Harvest.
We're also collecting used and/or damaged belts and shoes (can be a pair or singles, broken flip flops welcome) for Good Samaritan year round.
Bottle Caps and Soda Tabsby
Several local charities earn money by things we routinely throw away. Soda and beer can tabs (the ones used to open the can), are collected by Ronald McDonald House and Shriners. Plastic caps from water, juice, milk, and soda containers are collected by the Friendship Hyundai dealership in Johnson City. Friendship Hyundai matches the monies received from the plastic caps for area Charities.
If you collect and bring your caps and tabs to ETMM meetings or events, we will deliver them on behalf of the club.
